1. Definition
The word “Mummy” is a term that is used for those preserved human bodies as well as animals bodies that have been died hundreds of years ago and still their bodies are safe from decomposition due to severe weather conditions or other damaging sources. 3. Old Preservation Method

Well, embalming is the modern technique of preserving human bodies to stay safe from damage for long time span. However, it is believed that it was the technique that old people used as well to make mummies but with little modification.

It is recorded that oldest mummy is of a child and belong to era 5050 BC. It was found in Chile in the area of Camarones valley.
