Rosacea is a unceasing disease that appears in the form of redness of skin. In fact, this redness is not of ordinary nature, it may turn the swelling of skin with pimples or acne. 1. Definition
Rosacea is a long-term condition or disease that initially appears as redness of skin, but later grows up with swelling of skin and acne problems. Up to just redness of skin, it remain harmless, but becomes aggressive and dangerous when approaches to eyes.
2. Types of Rosacea
There are four types of Rosacea. 1) Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea. 2) Papulopustular Rosacea. 3) Phymatous Rosacea. 4) Ocular Rosacea. The forth type is highly dangerous with redness and irritation of eyes, while first one is least dangerous with only redness of skin.
3. Causes
There are many causes of Rosacea, but some common causes are sun exposure, wind, cold weather, spicy foods, some cosmetics, excessive use of alcohol, marinated meat, heavy exercise, certain vegetables and fruits and humidity.
4. Symptoms
The symptoms of Rosacea are like redness of skin, Red nose, blushing easily, burning or stinging feeling in the face, acne-like skin sores that may crust and irritated, bloodshot, watery eyes.
5. Treatment
There is no proper medication or treatment for Rosacea in normal condition. However, in severe condition, some antibiotics are suggested by doctors. In normal condition, only care is the treatment with avoiding of sun exposure or anything that is the cause of Rosacea in patients.
