Whenever I try to make fruits salad, I use syrup or sometimes use fruits own juice. People preferences are different; some prefer to serve as side dish and few serve as dessert. It is observed that things remain the same but the time when they occur alter the meaning. Like if you serve it after dinner as dessert, it is called fruit cocktail and if served as side dish it becomes appetizer. In American public schools as dessert, small cup of fruit dessert is served. Near to few people , it is just a dessert and nothing else. There should be three types of fruits at least in fruit salad.
You, at home, may make fruit salad by following different recipes or by including different sauces except their own juice or syrups. People have option of mixing fruits with cream, yogurt or even mustard. Fruit salad and marshmallows will be another alluring combination.
