Clementine is a kind of orange with deep orange colour skin and gleaming appearance. Segment wise it is broken down into 7-14 segments. Peeling them is very easy. It is juicy and sweet. Like other citrus fruits, it has limonene, myrcene and other complex aromatics. It is seedless. People consider orange a fruit of winter but it is not so as different varieties are made for different seasons. There are two types: one is navel and second is Valencia oranges. One should not confine himself for any particular kind and if not he will be deprived of other‘s benefits.
Clementine is imported from Spain, Morocco and some parts of North Africa. It is the result of cross between sweet orange and a Chinese mandarin. Children eat it with great relish because of its being sweet and seedless. One serving of it provides 46 calories. Carbohydrates contribute 40 calories while fats contributes 5 calories.
